fall // mustard // psl

 

So this past weekend, the weather cooled down and it was amazing. I slept with the windows open and woke up all snuggled under the covers - the best feeling (besides waking up cuddling next to someone but ya know...LDR). I wore jeans and a scarf while outside! And while I didn't drink a PSL because as much as I love pumpkin everything else, I'm not a fan of them in coffee, but everyone else was achatter about them so...yay PSL season! 

I love fall (because I am a blogger and a walking cliche). Maroon is my favorite color to wear, and even though for the first 24 years of my life I never ever wore mustard (because I'm a blondie and I thought it clashed), I am now just a little bit obsessed. I was just looking to see what other mustard cardigans are out there when I found this one. While I don't know how practical a short sleeved cardigan is...something about the style is saying "Buy me Fran! Spend your fall budget on me! Think how cute I'll be with your new striped shirt!"...so...thoughts? Mustard, grey, walk away slowly? 

Also, it is now back up to 90 degrees here so...that's not so awesome.

you know what isn't fun to wear all day? pantyhose.

I was putting my favorite pair on this morning, and they completely ripped. I was so upset, so then I had to wear this whiter/sateeny pair, and I just was not happy with them. They were uncomfortable all day. 

I honestly think the best feeling in the world is coming home, tearing off all of your clothes, and putting pajamas on. 

P.S. I ordered one of those gorillapod tripods so I can take a few quite pictures on my front porch without lugging around a huge tripod so hopefully the quality of photos improves somewhat soon.

I ordered this necklace and this bracelet over the Memorial Day weekend and they finally arrived last night. I've been thinking about ways that I can put quick and easy outfits together once school starts, and versatile accessories are the easiest way to top off any outfit. The necklace is a bit heavier than I thought it would be (I feel that a lot of the jewelry at Forever 21 is hollow and this one isn't), but I feel that I'll be grabbing for it a lot to top off quick outfits of pants, blouses, and cardigans/blazers. The color is obviously versatile, but the shape and size makes it special. The bracelet isn't anything to write home about, but I like that the shape of the bracelet plays off of the shape of the necklace.
